Woman arrested in connection with selling controlled substances

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
A Savannah woman was arrested in connection to selling controlled substances in an investigation conducted by the Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team.
Demetria Brown, 43, of Savannah, was taken into custody Tuesday. Brown was present at the time of a search warrant on Nov. 16 at the home of Zachary Myers who was also arrested and charged. The investigation later showed that Brown lived at residence with Myers on East 38th St. Also present at the time of the search warrant were three juvenile children ranging in ages 5-7, adding more charges for Myers and Brown.
Both Brown and Myers were charged Tuesday with trafficking heroin and reckless conduct for having the drugs and drug related items within the reach of children.
Brown was arrested at her residence, and Myers was served with additional charges at the Chatham County Detention Center were both he and Brown remain.
Both Brown and Myers are expected to be arraigned on Wednesday, however, neither person is eligible for a bond.
Tuesday's arrest marks Brown's 29th arrest in Chatham County, 10th drug related charge and 3rd arrest by CNT.
