DARIEN, GA (WTOC) -
The Darien News is reporting that four McIntosh County residents were involved in a head-on collision Tuesday evening before 7 p.m. on Hwy 99 at Ellison Hill, between Briar Patch and Eulonia. According to the report, Mariah Myers died at the scene and three others, including her mother Claudia Myers, were seriously injured.
According to Georgia State Patrol, Mariah and Claudia Myers were driving west on Hwy 99 when they were hit by a Crown Victoria that was traveling east. Tim Scott, of Crescent, was driving the Crown Victoria and Andre Jackson, of Meridian, was the passenger.
Witnesses say Scott was passing vehicles at a high rate of speed when the wreck occurred.
Scott and Jackson were life-flighted to Memorial University Medical Center in Savannah. Claudia Myers was transported to Memorial by ambulance.
Scott and Jackson are both currently in critical condition. Claudia Myers condition is unknown.
