For the 112th year in a row, the Salvation Army of Savannah served up a feast of turkey and all the trimmings to the community.
The meal was offered to anyone and everyone, especially those in need. In the past, the event was held at the Montgomery Street location but due to high demand this year, the meal took place at the Salvation Army Corps Community Center.
More than 100 volunteers helped make the event possible, and organizers say it wouldn't have been such a success without them.
"When I think of Thanksgiving, these are people expressing gratitude for everything they have and just wanting to give something back to the community, Salvation Army of Savannah Commanding Officer Caption Marion Platt said.
