Black Friday shoppers flood into stores

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

The line outside Toys R Us wrapped around the building into the evening hours Thursday night.

At 8pm the doors opened and shoppers flooded inside the store.

"We got everything we needed in just three minutes and we're ready to checkout," Susan Ponder said. Ponder was at the front of the line and says she began waiting by the door at 3:30.

Most people say they saved close to fifty percent. Toys R Us workers spent the day getting ready and even helped direct shoppers around the store.

"I just came in and there was a lady who worked here and she had a list and she told me where everything was. She pointed to each isle and I ran and picked them all up," Emily Conner said.

It was a similar scene at Sears. Most people there said they were looking for bargains on televisions.

"This is my first time doing this. I just want a TV for my house," Lisa Shasham said.

Many people said they would be hitting up multiple stores.
