SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
The Savannah
Christmas season is in full swing! The annual boat parade of lights set sail Saturday
evening with more than 60 sailboats and yachts floating down the Savannah River,
each competing for the best holiday décor.
After the parade, fireworks lit
up the night sky. Visitors came from all around with family and friends to kick
off their Christmas season.
"I
think anytime that you can have children outside, where they can walk and run
and play and see things that they don't normally get to see every day, it
starts to get them into the Christmas spirit. Santa is here, which is always
exciting for the kids, so we decided this would be a great time for us to come
out here," said Cassie Freeman
Visitors also got the chance to
check out a gingerbread village inside the Westin Riverfront Resort.
