Man loses control, hits tree on I-95 in Ridgeland

RIDGELAND, SC (WTOC) -

There are new details in a crash that happened in the Lowcountry Friday in the northbound lanes of I-95 near mile marker 22 in Ridgeland.

Police say Marcus Dale Fladger, 25, lost control of his Ford truck and hit a guardrail in the median, then traveled back across both lanes before slamming into a tree.

Fladger was flown to Memorial University Medical Center. His condition is not known at this time.

Ridgeland police tell WTOC that faulty equipment and speed contributed to the single car crash.
