SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -
Black Friday
shopping broke records over the weekend, and now Cyber Monday is upon us.
This
year's Cyber Monday is expected to be the biggest online shopping day of the
year. According to research firm ComScore, Americans are expected
to spend $1.5 billion. That is up from last year.
This
comes as retailer's ramp up deals to get shoppers to click on their websites. Cyber
Monday is the day online retailers have been holding their post-Thanksgiving
sales since 2005. Many people have online access at home, not to mention mobile
devices that let them shop anywhere, so some sites started their deals early.
If you
weren't one of the 247 million shoppers that the National Retail Federation
says hit the stores over the weekend, there's still time to get bargains.
One
data tracking firm says it with expected sales on Monday to draw in around $1.5
billion, it's also a big draw for crooks, according to an online security
expert.
