One dead after fire at homeless camp

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are investigating an open area fire at a homeless camp near Louisville Rd. and Pritchard St. that killed one woman.

The fire happened late Saturday night

Police believe the death was accidental but they are waiting on autopsy results.

They are not releasing the woman's name until next of kin can be notified.
