The public can check out the proposed Skidaway Road Improvement Project plan, ask questions and submit comments on the proposal.
The Chatham County Department of Engineering will hold the meeting on the project. It will run from 6-8 p.m. Dec. 13 at the Bible Baptist Church located at 4700 Skidaway Rd. in Savannah.
The project includes the area just south of Ferguson and Norwood Avenue to just south of Victory Drive. The project includes changes to drainage, curb and gutter, adding multi-use paths, intersection improvements and the realignment of Central Avenue, Sunset Boulevard, Rowland Avenue and the entrance to the city dump at Skidaway Road.
The proposed changes to the intersection include turn lanes and medians at various locations, the installation of a new traffic signal at Kerry Street and a roundabout at the intersection of Montgomery Crossroad, Central Avenue and Skidaway Road.
