Another man is in custody in connection with the Nov. 3 Coastal Empire Fair shooting.

Eight people were shot on that Saturday night. The oldest victim is 36 and the youngest is 14 years old.

Jeffrey Bashon Crawford, 19, turned himself in Monday night at the Chatham County Detention Center, according to Savannah-Chatham Metro Police. Crawford is the second of six men who have been charged in the shooting.

Crawford is charged with making false statements to police as they were investigating what happened.

Diqwane Dreshawn Butler, 28, was already in custody on unrelated drug charges when he was served with an arrest warrant on charges of making false statements in the fair shooting, according to police.

The search continues for four other suspects – two are wanted on aggravated assault charges and two others are wanted in connection with making false statements.

Warrants for aggravated assault charges were filed last week against Lajuan Jerome Sloman, 21 and 21-year-old Shawn Hakeem Sibert.

Terrence Lassalle Thacker Jr., 23, is wanted in connection with providing a false name to police and making false statements. Ephraim Rashad German, 19, is wanted in connection with providing false statements.

SCMPD violent crimes detectives continue to investigate.
