COLUMBIA, SC (WTOC) -
The South Carolina Energy and Gas Company says someone is posing as their employees, trying steal your money.
SCE&G warns customers that bill payments are only accepted at business offices, by mail, online or by calling their phone number.
The company says that they will also let a customer know in writing before any employee comes to their home. Company employees who do come to your home will where a blue SCE&G uniform with a white company id badge.
If someone comes to your door claiming they're an employee without all of those things, call customer service or 911.
