Two Savannah residents and one in Brunswick won
$10,000 prizes in Wednesday's record $588 million Powerball jackpot drawing.
According to the Georgia Lottery, 33 players in Georgia won
$10,000 prizes:
- Three in Atlanta
- Brunswick
- Cedartown
- Columbus
- Two in Conyers
- Cordele
- Two in Dallas
- Duluth
- Gainesville
- Grovetown
- Two in Jonesboro
- LaGrange
- Lawrenceville
- Leesburg
- Marietta
- Monroe
- Newnan
- Norcross
- Pelham
- Perry
- Rising Fawn
- Two in Savannah
- Smyrna
- Sylvester
- Valdosta
- Westpoint
A $10,000 ticket bought in Douglasville at the Chevron at 2140
Fairburn Rd. was worth $40,000 with the Power Play option. Other Georgia Lottery
players won prizes ranging from $4 to $200.
Winning numbers from Wednesday's Powerball drawing were:
5-16-22-23-29 and the Powerball number was 6. The two winning Powerball jackpot tickets were bought in
Arizona and Missouri.
Powerball resulted in $16.9 million for the Georgia
Lottery-funded HOPE Scholarship and Pre-K programs, according to the Georgia
Lottery.
