BEAUFORT CO., SC (WTOC) -
A man on trial for the July 2011 fatal shooting that occurred at a Subway in Beaufort was found guilty Thursday afternoon.
Rajerick Lovell Knight, aka "Slick," shot Travis Sentell Holmes, 28, dead inside a Subway at in the Cross Creek Shopping Center off of Highway 170.
Knight was sentenced to life without parole for Holmes' death. He took the stand in his own defense on Wednesday.
It took the jury about an hour of deliberation to return the verdict. They returned to court after more than a half hour to ask the judge if they could watch the surveillance video again from the Subway shop. After they watched the video, they returned their verdict within minutes.
