Residents invited to tour Savannah City Hall

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

During the First Tuesday Tour of City Hall, residents and visitors will be able to get a behind the scenes look at Savannah City Hall and view special exhibits highlighting chapters of Savannah's history.

The tour will give an overview of the history, architecture and art of historic city hall. Participants will also be able to hear stories about some of Savannah's more fascinating characters, learn about their city government and view two exhibits in council chambers dedicated to the Nuclear Ship Savannah and the former Savannah Pharmacy located on MLK Blvd.

The free tour and will begin at noon Dec. 4. and will last less than an hour. Space is limited and a reservation is required. Contact City of Savannah Research Library and Municipal Archives Director Luciana Spracher at 912.651.6411 or lspracher@savannah.gov to reserve a spot.
