SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) - Some runners ran for the love of running, while others ran to raise cancer awareness.
The Enmark Savannah River Bridge Run kicked off at 8 a.m. Dec. 1. About 6,000 runners filled the streets of downtown Savannah.
The 5K and 10K double pump started from Hutchinson Island. The 10K kicked off at the Chatham County Court House on Montgomery Street. Both races crossed over the Talmadge Bridge before finishing along the Montgomery Street side of the Savannah Civic Center.
Proceeds from the raise will go towards the cancer research center at St. Joseph's/Candler Hospital.
