Some video we'll never forget - a car crashing right through the front door of Harkleroad Jewelry at Abercorn and Eisenhower last weekend. Amazingly, nobody was hurt, the car missed the owner's toddler by seconds.
With that in mind, the store stuck with their scheduled customer appreciation day and also made a donation to Senior Citizens Incorporated.
"This is our way of reaching out, back to the community and giving back for something," said Marion Harkelroad, owner of Harkleroad Jewelry. "We're trying to turn tragedy into something positive and I think we have here today as you can see."
They'll use the money for "Sterling Rides," a service that gives senior citizens who can't drive any more rides for personal errands.
