SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Three South Carolina motorcyclists were injured after crashing into the back of a truck and each other on the Talmadge Bridge Saturday afternoon.

Savannah-Chatham police say the truck slowed down causing a chain reaction crash with all three motorcycles behind it.

Dalton Chapman of Beaufort, along with Jeffery and Kim McClanahan of Hardeeville were transported to Memorial University Medical Center to be treated for broken bones sustained in the wreck.

Chapman's bike hit the rear of a pickup truck driven by Michael Wright of Hardeville, forcing Chapman's bike on its side.

Kim McClanahan's motorcycle then collided with Chapman's, ejecting her from her bike and into the path of Jeffery McClanahan's bike.

The southbound lane of the Talmadge Bridge was closed for over two hours Saturday.

Jeffrey Mcclanahan was released from the hospital on Sunday but his wife, Kim, and the other motorcyclist, Dalton Chapman, remain in the hospital in fair condition.

There is no word of any charges filed at this time. The Savannah-Chatham Metro Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team continues to investigate.
