Beaufort residents file lawsuits over water filtration systems

BEAUFORT CO., SC (WTOC) -

Three lawsuits have been filed in Beaufort County over water filtration systems.

The suit accuses Robert Ciano, Island Property Management and Castle Credit Corporation of fraud and unfair practice.

All three residents were told they would get filtration systems but instead got water softeners, which cost them more than they were told.

Each resident had a lien placed on their home and are being charged about $4,000 in interest by Castle Credit Corporation.
