BLUFFTON, SC (WTOC) -
Bluffton police are wrapping up an investigation into an unauthorized bank account at McCracken Middle School.
Police say it was not illegal and there is no evidence of fraud. It belonged to the school's parent teacher organization and was transferred to an office manager when a mother who ran the PTO left.
That office manager, Denise Gibbo, is on paid leave along with principal Phillip Shaw. School officials will not say if Shaw's absence is related to that bank account.
