STATESBORO, GA (WTOC) -

On Dec. 2, Bulloch County sheriff's deputies began an investigation into an armed robbery at the Fast Stop convenience store in the 22000 block of US 80 E in Statesboro. Surveillance video of the suspects and their vehicle were then distributed to local agencies in hopes of locating them.

On Dec. 4, Statesboro police officers responded to a similar armed robbery at the Gate Station on South Main St. in Statesboro. Officers familiar with the photo of the vehicle involved in the Fast Stop armed robbery found a similar vehicle occupied by two black males on US 301 N minutes after the Gate Station armed robbery. The investigation by Sgt. James Winskey of the Statesboro Police Department led to the recovery of the evidence linking the two male suspects, later identified as Jackie Scott, 34, or Sylvania, and Tyler Turner, 28, of Statesboro, to the Gate Station armed robbery. BCSO investigators and SPD detectives have also charged Scott and Turner with the fast stop armed robbery.

Scott and Turned are being held with no bond assigned at the Bulloch County Jail. BCSO is continuing to investigate the Nov. 27 armed robbery of the Zip In Foods located at US 301 N and Old River Rd.
