EMANUEL CO., GA (WTOC) -
According to Emanuel County Sheriff J. Tyson Stephens, jail escapees Matthew Findley, 24, and Jeffrey Webb, 26, were returned to the Emanuel County Jail on Wednesday.
Findley and Webb were among six inmates who escaped from the Emanuel County Jail on Nov. 10. The four other inmates were captured within the first 24 hours of their escape. Findley and Webb were arrested by U.S. Marshal's Eastern Iowa Fugitive Task Force in Fort Dodge, Iowa on Nov. 20.
Findley and Webb appeared before Superior Court Judge Robert S. Reeves on Wednesday for a first appearance hearing in regards to the new charges of escape.
The six inmates who escaped will all face the additional charge of escape on top of their original charges.
