A missing teenage girl has been found safe, according to the Effingham County Sheriff's Office.
A middle school was on lockdown in Effingham County as authorities searched for a missing teenage girl.
The Effingham County Sheriff's Office said 13-year-old Megan Coursey went missing and a search was launched.
ECSO spokesman David Ehsanipoor said no other students are in any danger, according to the ECSO.
The sheriff's office searched for the student in an area that extends from the school to the city of Guyton.
