The head of Catholic Relief Services is in Savannah. Dr. Carolyn Woo transitioned from starting and running the University of Notre Dame's business school to running the faith based organization. The Catholic Relief Services carries out the commitment of the Bishops of the U.S. to assist the poor and vulnerable overseas. Dr. Woo says she is extremely happy to be in the Savannah area.
"We are so fortunate to have Bishop Boland on our board. He is stepping down, his term is done, and he invited us here. I have to say, I have fallen in love with this city. The city is not only beautiful, but I think we actually became more relaxed. I love who we are in this city," said Dr. Woo.
