RIDGELAND, SC (WTOC) -

Two people were arrested Tuesday for transporting Oxycodone on I-95 in Ridgeland.

The Ridgeland Police Department ICE team stopped a Chevrolet Cruze on I-95 north near the 23 mile marker on Dec. 4 for following too closely and an improper lane change.

After a K-9 alert on the vehicle, authorities found two PVC pipes zip tied to the rear bumper. Officers removed the pipes and found approximately 2,000 Oxycodone pills inside one of them.

The driver, Antonio Hernandez Diaz, 45, and the passenger, Brunilda De La Caridad, 47, both of Miama, Fla., have been charged with trafficking Oxycodone. They are being held at the Jasper County Jail. A bond has been set at $50,000 for each of them.
