Annual Lights on for Tybee celebration set for Friday

TYBEE ISLAND, GA (WTOC) -

Tybee Island is about to get a little brighter for the holidays.

The entire city is preparing for the "Lights on for Tybee" celebration. Island residents will flock to downtown Tybee to join Tybee Mayor Jason Buelterman for the annual tree lighting Friday at 6:30 p.m. as a Christmas choir will fill the air with holiday music as they perform from the porch of the Carbo House.

Mr. and Mrs. Claus will also be making a guest appearance to help kick-off the holiday season.
