Christmas may still be a few weeks away but it sure sounded like it was here Friday as members of the Savannah Philharmonic put on a show during First Friday on Brought Street. Shoppers were treated to great deals in the shops and great music from the choir.
"It is a very exciting moment for us. It is a chance for us to get into the community. Everybody loves carols and we love it, so it is great fun for us," said Peter Shannon, Savannah Philharmonic conductor.
Stores stayed open a little later than usual to make sure everyone got a chance to hear the carols.
