A suspect in the brutal murder of a disabled man appeared in a Beaufort Court today. Forty-one-year-old John Dykeman is charged with kidnapping, armed robbery and murder after police say he and an accomplice beat and stabbed Brett Kinney and left his body in the woods.
Police say they were trying to get Kinney to give them his bank card PIN. Dykeman will face a grand jury next month.
A second suspect in the case, Samantha Morgan-Major, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and will also face a grand jury.
