ELLABELL, GA (WTOC) -
A man out on bond on methamphetamine charges was arrested again last week after an investigation by the
Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team.
CNT
got a tip on Dec. 6 while working undercover about a possible methamphetamine lab
at a home on Stubb's Lane in Ellabell.
CNT
agents and Bryan County Sheriff's Office deputies searched the home, which
resulted in the seizure of a meth lab, according to CNT. The lab was located in an open area in the
home that was shared by a child.
George
Rountree, 48, was charged with manufacturing meth, possession of meth and children
present during the manufacture of methamphetamine, according to the CNT.
This
is his second arrest by CNT. In October 2011, CNT and Bryan County Sheriff's
Office searched the same home that resulted in the seizure of a meth lab and
firearms, according to the CNT.
In
that case, Rountree was charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, trafficking
methamphetamine and weapon charges. He was out on bond for that case at the
time of last week's arrest.
Rountree
is being held at the Bryan County Detention Center.
