Some students got some real world experience flying the simulators at Gulfstream Aerospace Monday night. It is all part of the Savannah Science Seminar for students from Effingham, Chatham and Bryan counties. The students got the chance to get behind the wheel of Gulfstream's newest aircraft, the G-650.
"It was really eye opening and cool. I never knew what it was like to be a pilot of an airplane and that really was an awesome experience," said Tayler Wallace, Savannah.
"They are flying the engineering labs. They are working with the cabin systems and interacting just like the customers would," said Bob Farrell, engineering manager.
Students will also visit Savannah College of Art and Design, Georgia Tech, Memorial and St. Joseph's.
