A 2-vehicle wreck on US Hwy 80 at Conaway Road in Bloomingdale Tuesday has killed at least one person.
It happened shortly before 4 a.m. Tuesday. Police had the entire area around the crash roped off. A white Honda and an semi were involved. The car suffered major damage and the semi had only minor damage. Debris from the wreck could be seen scattered across the road.
A state trooper confirmed with WTOC that there was at least one fatality.
Both of the westbound lanes on US 80 had to be closed for several hours. Police turned both of the eastbound lanes into two-way traffic so traffic would continue to move in the area. The wreck has now been cleared and the westbound lanes are back open.
The wreck has been turned over to the Georgia State Patrol.
We will continue to follow this story and have the latest information as soon as it is made available. Check WTOC.com and WTOC on Facebook and Twitter for updates.
