EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -
Drivers should expect traffic to be moving slower Tuesday morning on Interstate16 east of Old River Road in Effingham County.
What the Georgia Dept. of Transportation calls a traffic pace, is being used while work crews can install new fiber optic cable onto an existing cable that is crossing I-16.
Traffic will be set for 20 mph and it is not expected to last for more than 15 minutes. Authorities from Effingham and Clinch counties sheriff's offices will be on site to ensure safety.
Drivers should expect delays in the area and are urged to use alternate routes if possible.
