To make sure you make an educated vote next week, the Savannah branch of the NAACP is hosting a two day candidates' forum. Part one of the forum was held last night at Saint John Baptist Church. Candidates for judge and Chatham County commissioner got a chance to talk about their ideas and beliefs, and to answer any questions voters may have.
"By bringing the candidates here and having them state their positions and platforms and entertain questions, it gives our audience and our citizens and members an opportunity to make wise decisions about those candidates," said the NAACP's Richard Shinhoster.
Our own Dawn Baker served on the panel for last night's forum. The next forum will bring candidates for state representative and senate together. You can hear what they have to say at 6:30pm tonight at Saint John Baptist Church on Hartridge Street.
