The man who held his own family hostage in Sylvania surrendered without incident late Thursday.
According to Sheriff Mike Kile, Mitch Lee surrendered to the Sheriff at his sister's house after an argument with his wife that occurred at their home on Plantation Road just north of Sylvania. Lee's wife told Sheriff's deputies that he held her and her mother at gunpoint before he ran into nearby woods with a rifle and shotgun.
A State Patrol SWAT Team arrived as Lee surrendered.
Lee remains in the Screven County Jail as investigators compare the couple's accounts of what happened.
