SOCIAL CIRCLE, Ga. (WTOC) - The public can offer input on hunting regulations for the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 hunting seasons at any of eight upcoming meetings.
The Georgia Department of Natural Resources' Wildlife Resources Division is hosting the upcoming meetings around the staff.
Hunting regulation proposals will be available in April and will be considered by the Board of Natural Resources in May 2013.
These meetings will begin at 7 p.m. Jan. 7: Wrens City Hall in the Public Meeting Room at 401 E. Broad St. in Wrens.
J. F. Gregory Park at the John W. Stephens Wetlands Education Center at 600 Cedar St. in Richmond Hill.
These meetings will begin at 7 p.m. Jan. 8:
Walker County Civic Center at 10052 N. Highway 27 in Rock Spring.
Lanier Technical College at Forsyth Conference Center at 7745 Majors Rd. in Cumming.
These meetings will begin at 7 p.m. Jan. 9: Columbus State University at Elizabeth Bradley Turner Center for Continuing Education at 4225 University Ave. in Columbus.
Mitchell County Agricenter at 4590 Highway 73 East in Camilla.
These meetings will begin at 7 p.m. Jan. 10:
Rabun County Courthouse at 25 Courthouse Square in Clayton.
Charlton County Annex at 68 Kingsland Dr. in Folkston.
Meeting participants may present data, make a statement or comment, or offer a viewpoint or argument verbally or in writing, according to the DNR. Participants must register when they get to the meeting and notify the registering official that they want to give a statement. Those unable to attend a meeting can submit the comments either electronically or written. Comments must be received by Jan. 18, 2013.
