The 3nd annual Savannah Reindeer run and walk got off to a festive start this Saturday.
It was held at the Savannah International trade and Convention center. There was a holiday costume contest, and chili cook-off with 5 major Savannah area restaurants.
Celebrity judges included Paula Deen and her sons, Stratton Leopold and Mary Jane Crouch of America's Second Harvest.
Three hundred runners participated in the race and around nearly 50 youngsters ran in the kids race. All of the proceeds from the event benefit the Rape Crisis Center, which works to educate people on several subjects.
Our own Lynda Figueredo won her age group in the race and hosted the event.
