A 24-year-old man is charged with aggravated assault
in connection with a domestic dispute on Friday night.
Bulloch County sheriff's deputies were called to a
home at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the 6100 block of GW Oliver Road. Angelia Moore had
suffered extensive blunt force trauma to her face.
Witnesses told deputies that Moore's son Jerry Allen
had hit Moore repeatedly with her fists before smashing a candy jar on her
head, according to the sheriff's office.
Allen left the home before deputies got there, but was
apprehended two days later. He is charged with aggravated assault (family
violence) and is being held at the Bulloch County jail pending further judicial
proceedings.
