Chatham County Youth Commission celebrated their 20th anniversary on Thursday. Over 400 have graduated from the program, each earning a special bond with the community.
"Being a part of the Chatham Co. Youth Commission, you meet a lot of political officials. Whether you are going into law, law enforcement, any type of field, basically, you can get a connection. This is definitely a bond, so you get a lot," said Alexis Parker, Chatham Co. Youth Commission chairwoman.
Keeping with their pact of service, the Chatham Co. Youth Commission also used the event to collect gifts for Toys for Tots.
