Loud booms in Beaufort identified

BEAUFORT, SC (WTOC) -

The loud booms being heard Friday morning in the Beaufort area are the result of Explosive Ordnance Disposal training.

As part of the EOD training, they are dropping 3 to 20 lbs ordinance bombs.

Representatives from MCAS Beaufort said the training will be going on until about 1 p.m. Friday.
