Police seek Factor's Walk shooting suspect

SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are investigating after two days of confrontations in Yamacraw Village led to shots being fired on Factors Walk Thursday night. The shooting victim in custody and police are continuing to search for his assailant.

Maurice Leonard Baker, 25, of a Holland Dr. address, was transported to Memorial University Medical Center following the 6 p.m. shooting. After treatment, Baker was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating Charles Leonard Mobley, 18, of a Stokes St. address.

Baker told police that Mobley robbed him twice on Monday and Tuesday in Yamacraw Village, during which Mobley fired a shot at him. Baker was walking on Factor's Walk and smoking marijuana on Thursday when he encountered Mobley and the two exchanged gun shots at each other. During the incident, Baker was shot in the foot. He then ran to a restaurant on River St. for aid.

Mobley is described as a black male, about 5'5" and 145 pounds. He has brown hair and eyes. He may also have a slight mustache.
