DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) –According to Sgt. Kimberly Nelson, of Darlington City Police Department, authorities have arrested the final suspect in connection to the Christmas Eve Darlington homicide of Antwain Demetrious Jones, 38.
Jason Jones of Darlington was captured on Saturday by the Atlanta City Police Department and a hold was placed on the subject for the Darlington City Police Department. Jones is being charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, attempted murder and armed robbery.
Michael Rashawn Jackson, age 25 of Darlington, has been arrested by Fulton City Police Department in Atlanta, GA on unrelated charges. Jackson gave the authorities in Atlanta several fake names however when he was fingerprinted it showed that he was Michael Jackson, and was wanted by the Darlington City Police Department for murder. The extradition of Jackson is pending. He will be charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, attempted murder and armed robbery.
Jonathan Wesley McCall, age 24, was arrested on Sunday, Dec. 30 for murder. McCall is being charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, attempted murder and armed robbery.
Reginald Danyall Smith, 21, from Trotwood Dr. in Florence, SC was served on Saturday, Dec. 29 with arrest warrants by the Darlington City Police Department. He is also being charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, attempted murder and armed robbery. Smith was already in the Florence County Detention Center for unrelated charges when the warrants were served.
Kiaran Myron Bonaparte, 22, was taken into custody on Friday, Dec. 28.
The suspects rushed into the home on Coker Street around 8 p.m. Christmas Eve. Darlington Police believe the men went into the home with the intent to rob Antwain Jones, according to Sgt. Nelson. Antwain Jones' body was found on Coker St. His death was ruled a homicide.
Nelson said more suspects besides the ones who have been identified could have been involved. "We're still looking into that. We're trying to come up with some subjects that were also involved. We really don't know how many yet. We're still investigating- turning over every rock that we can."
