A fisherman is dead after a boat capsized Wednesday night on the Beaufort River.

A
fisherman is dead and another is in a hospital after their boat capsized Wednesday
night on the Beaufort River.
The
Island Packet reports that the surviving fisherman told rescuers they were
fishing for oysters near Corn Island when it happened. He said they stayed atop
the capsized skiff for a while before the other man tried to swim to shore. He
did not make it. The men worked for Sea Eagle, a Beaufort Seafood Market.
