EFFINGHAM CO., GA (WTOC) -
Midland Road at Nease Roads has reopened after being shut down for about two hours due to a wreck involving an Effingham Co. deputy on Friday morning.
The Effingham County Sheriff's Office told WTOC that the deputy was responding to a fire call on Midland Road when a car pulled in front of him. His vehicle rolled over and is still pinned. The deputy veered off the road landing upside down in a ditch. It's a K9 car and a dog was inside.
The deputy was taken to Memorial University Medical Center. The dog was taken to Webbs Animal Hospital in Rincon.
