If you plan on eating out New Year's Eve, then you'll want to make dinner reservations this weekend. Many metro-Atlanta restaurants are already booked.
If you still can't get into your favorite spot, Steak Shapiro, host of "Atlanta Eats", offered this tip. "I'll sit at the bar, grab a glass of wine and I'll order a massive order to-go."
Shapiro said his favorite take-out spots include the Buford Highway Farmers Market, the East 48th Street Deli, Alon's Bakery and Café Intermezzo.
If you have your heart set on dining out, then Shapiro advised choosing a restaurant outside of the Perimeter in order to avoid the crowds. His picks included Stoney River, Seed Kitchen and Bar, and Muss and Turners.
