GEORGETOWN COUNTY, SC (WCSC) -
A man and a woman were injured after their ATV collided with a car in Georgetown County following a New Year's Day parade, according to highway patrol officials.
South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers say the collision happened just before 2 p.m. near the intersection of Browns Ferry and Oatland roads.
A 19-year-old man was driving his ATV and trying to pass a car when that car made a left turn, resulting in the wreck, troopers said.
A 25-year-old woman was riding on the ATV. Both she and the teenaged driver were taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Troopers say charges are expected to be filed in connection with the accident, which occurred near the annual parade.
