SAVANNAH, GA (WTOC) -

An early-morning wreck had the northbound lanes of Abercorn Street blocked for two hours.

It happened shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Abercorn Street and Stephenson Avenue. Officials say one vehicle rear-ended the other and both vehicles involved sustained serious damage.

There were a few complaints of injuries, including a child, but none were serious. Authorities said that as a result no investigation will be pursued.

All lanes on Abercorn Street heading toward downtown were blocked by the wreckage. Police had to redirect traffic onto Stephenson Avenue for two hours.

The street was cleared by 8 a.m. and reopened to traffic.
