Some very talented U.S. military high-flyers bring home the gold. The Army's Golden Knights 8-Way Formation-Flying Team won first place last month at the 2012 World Parachuting Championships held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Army sky-diving team edged-out France to take the gold medal. Exiting an aircraft two-miles above the earth, the 8-team- members must execute as many formations as possible within 50-seconds, free-falling at over 100 miles per hour!
While the men's unit has a distinguished 53-year history, the Lady Knights 4-Way Formation Team, was established just two-years ago, and came on strong to win the Silver Medal in their class, a tremendous showing for such a young team.
