Savannah-Chatham Metro Police are at the scene of a wrong-way wreck involving a car and an SUV Thursday afternoon on northbound Interstate 95.
Police said a white sedan was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes and that the driver tried to turn around in the exit ramp to Ga. 204 when it collided with the SUV.
A child, mother and elderly man were were taken to an area hospital. The man's wife rode with him inside the ambulance. Exit 94 to Highway 204 is expected to be blocked until at least 3 p.m. Traffic is down to one lane going northbound.
Police continue to investigate how the driver of the car ended up going the wrong way on the I-95.
