Sonic Drive-In in Hinesville has reopened Friday morning.
The fast food restaurant was closed Thursday after a former employee made allegations that the fast food restaurant has a pest infestation issue.
"I got tired of trying to shake them out of my clothes and bring them home with me so i took it upon myself and posted video to the corporate page thinking they would some put form of action behind it and I ended up getting terminated." said Terrance Cypress, former Sonic employee who posted video.
According to Sonic's statement, the owner immediately scheduled an additional pest control treatment after the allegations were made. Officials say the drive-in is treated monthly for pests and nearly made perfect scores on its past two health inspections. Read a statement issued by Sonic.
Exterminators on Thursday night fumigated the building.
Sonic invited the Liberty Co. Health Department to come to the restaurant on Friday since its reopening.
