Driver identified in fatal overnight wreck in Hilton Head

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC (WTOC) -

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash in Beaufort County overnight.

Just before midnight Thursday, Lewis Mull of Hilton Head Island was driving a 2005 Toyota north on Wild Horse Road on Hilton Head Island when he lost control of the vehicle and rolled several times.

Mull was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected. Rescue crews arrived and pronounced him dead at the scene.

SCHP continues to investigate what caused Mull to lose control.
