Fort Stewart soldiers mentor U.S. Army All-American Bowl athletes

Posted: Updated:

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl will take place Saturday and some Fort Stewart soldiers are getting the chance to mentor some of the nation's top high school players.

The game features 90 players from the country in an east vs. west match up at San Antonio's Alamo Dome. The Third ID soldiers will be front and center for the game.

"We are the only four representing Fort Stewart. It will be interesting when the game comes on Saturday at 1 p.m. We are the first four that are mentioned so the four of us will be the first four to greet our players. We will be center field during the national anthem so you can't miss us come game day," said SSgt. Craig Showers, Fort Stewart.

The All-America Marching Band will also take part. They are made up of 125 of the nation's top band members.
